1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Burger RNG (the “Bot”, “Service”, “we” or “us”) handles information when you use its Discord commands, interactions, and related legal website. For questions or privacy requests, contact burgerrng.support@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

To operate Burger RNG, we store information associated with your Discord account and, where relevant, the server in which you roll.

• Discord identifiers: your Discord user ID and, for server-based functionality, the Discord server ID and server name. The Bot may retrieve your current display name or avatar from Discord when presenting responses.
• Game progress: total rolls, collected burger names and quantities, rarest discovered burger, achievements, Seeds balance and earnings, sold burger counts, daily streaks, quests, boosts, upgrades, titles, cosmetic selections, favorite burger, and special-roll inventory.
• Gamewide and server statistics: aggregate global rolls, aggregate burger discoveries, per-server roll totals, milestone progress, and active milestone boosts. Some of this information appears on leaderboards or within shared bot responses.
• Paid entitlements: we request Discord purchase entitlement IDs, product identifiers, ownership, subscription validity, and whether a consumable has been redeemed. We store activation and expiry timestamps for paid boosts and additional settings for premium profile features. Discord, not Burger RNG, handles payment card details.
• Alert state: records of which Discord user IDs have been shown a particular bot announcement, so the same alert is not repeatedly shown.
• Support messages: if you email us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide in your message.

The Bot does not need you to provide your real name, postal address, or payment card details to play. It processes commands you send to it; it is not designed to read unrelated chat messages.

3. How we use information

We use these details to save and display your collection, deliver rolls and rewards, manage the virtual Seeds economy, track quests and milestones, run leaderboards, prevent duplicate notifications, maintain the Service, investigate errors or abuse, and respond to support or deletion requests. We also validate paid feature ownership with Discord and manage redemption of purchased boosts.

4. Legal bases

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we generally process the data needed to provide the Bot features you request on the basis of providing the Service, and we may rely on legitimate interests for essential service reliability, fraud prevention, and security. We may also process information where required to comply with a legal obligation. Which basis applies depends on the processing activity and applicable law.

5. When data is shared

Information is processed through Discord and the providers that host or operate Burger RNG. Certain statistics, profile details, collections, and leaderboard entries are visible to other users when displayed through Bot features. We may disclose information where required by law or to address misuse. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Discord handles information about your use of its platform under its own Privacy Policy.

6. Storage and retention

Game data is stored while needed to provide your saved progress and operate the Bot, unless deletion is requested or we discontinue the Service. The Bot saves information periodically and maintains a limited set of backup copies, including backups created before data-format migrations. Backups can temporarily retain older copies until replaced or removed. We seek to remove data associated with a verified deletion request from active storage and handle backup copies where reasonably practicable. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle requests and related obligations.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing or request a portable copy where applicable. Contact burgerrng.support@gmail.com with your Discord user ID and explain your request. Please do not send passwords, account login codes, or authentication tokens. We may request reasonable proof that the account is yours before making changes.

You may stop using the Bot at any time. If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security and location

We take reasonable steps to limit access to stored game data and protect the Service, but no online system is completely secure. Discord and the hosting services we use may process information in locations outside your country. Where applicable, international processing is subject to the data protection requirements that apply to the relevant providers and activity.

9. This website and cookies

This informational website does not use a user account system, advertising trackers, or first-party analytics cookies in its own page code. The website host may process ordinary technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. Following external links may take you to websites with their own privacy practices.

10. Younger users

Burger RNG is intended for people permitted to use Discord. If you are not old enough to use Discord under its rules in your country, you should not use the Bot.

11. Policy changes

We may update this Policy when the Bot's features or data-handling practices change. Updated versions will be published here with a revised “Last updated” date.
